The Model FZ-12 has a thermostat with a 3 ft cord. Upon setting the thermostat at the desired activation temperature, it can be placed up to three (3) feet from the signal head via a wire cable, to monitor the room temperature.

The Model FZ-12 is visible from only one side and is powered by a (2) D-cell batteries and consists of a flashing signal that can be seen from a much greater distance (up to 1/2 mile).
