Self-powered,
wireless controlled light signals
Utilizing
our standard Model BX-12 Series warning light, a remote (wireless)
controlled series has been developed. With a remote controller
(Key Fob), a set of self-powered traffic signals (one Red
and one Green) can be quickly deployed for temporary or emergency
control of traffic. The operational range of the remote is
200 feet and the visibility of the light is 1,000 feet in
daylight and conservatively 1/2 mile in darkness. The traffic
signals are inter-connected with a 2 foot electrical cable.
For safety and control purposes, the design permits only one
color (either Red or Green) to be activated when the button
on the controller is pressed. The model number for traffic
signal set is RF1. Two sets of this model could
control the opposite ends of one-way traffic situations from
a middle location, yielding a 400 foot distance from each
other. With model RF-1A the key fobs are programmed differently
for each signal set.
Note: The keyfob programming is different
for each signal set, so that each signal set is independently
controlled.
